Meet the Team

Jeffrey Scott Viglielmo, DDS, AIAOMT

Hello, my name is Jeffrey Scott Viglielmo, and I am a life long resident of Ulster county. I did go away for my higher education but have have been lucky to be able to return to the area that I love. I graduated from Onteora High School in 1977, received my BS from St. Lawrence University in 1981 with a Biology and Chemistry major. Georgetown University Dental School in Washington, DC provided me with my DDS degree and there I also met my wife, Maureen.

We still live in Woodstock where we are raising our 2 children, Kaitlana, age 14 and Kealey, age 16. I have volunteered my dental expertise to the Ulster County Community Action Committee by sitting on the advisory board for the county's Headstart program. I have often provided their children with dental screenings over these past 20 years and in recent years, adopted a child from this program to provide their dental needs that they are unable to receive elsewhere at our cost.

In 2001 I joined the International Academy Of Oral Medicine and Toxicology and was accedited in 2006 for showing the interest and skills to treat my patients in a biologic sense- understanding dental materials biocompatibility, periodontal disease process and using the safest protocols for removal of mercury. This is a toxin which makes up over 50% of the "silver" fillings that many of us had or still have.

I am excited and very passionate about the opportunity we have to help our patients with their overall health.  Since your oral health is both a window to and a direct link to your system health and well being, it is important to have as healthy a mouth as possible.   I believe we have a huge responsibility to do the most we can for you as a patient.  We will provide guidance through the large volume of health inforamtion out there and will make recommendations to maximize your comfort, dental stability, overall health as well as looks.

The beautiful smile that we create with you is the gateway to a healthy body.

At home I have given my time to the Hunter Mountain Race Foundation which gets me outdoors running alpine ski races as timer, official and course worker. It has been a great experience meeting the world's best American racers at our NORAM events, even Bode Miller was a participant in 2002 on our Catskill Mountain hill. During the 2008-9 season I coached the J III Alpine Competition Team where I was able to ski with my son and enjoy the sport with him, I am again at Hunter this winter, 20011-12.

I am currently very involved with soccer acting as AYSO Region 732 Assistant Commissioner where I coach and referee.  I feel I am a guiding force in my children's and their freind's athletic development. I am now the Woodstock Soccer U10 head coach and have been engaged with 25 plus children during the Spring and Fall seasons. I even took on the Onteora Boy's Modified coaching duties the fall of 2008. It has been a lot of fun to see them as they enjoy their outdoor athletic training and competitions. Personally, I still ski race and play soccer myself as well as tennis, windsurfing, bicycling and hiking.

Maureen Kelly Viglielmo, MS, DDS

Originally I’m from the Boston area. I did my undergraduate work at Bates College in Maine and the University of Glasgow in Scotland. Then I traveled to Washington, DC and attended Georgetown University. There, I received my Masters in Physiology and later, my Doctor of Dental Surgery from Georgetown U. School of Dentistry. After moving around so much, I settled in the Hudson Valley with my husband, Jeff.  We had met in dental school and shared many of the same passions, skiing being among them.

We are raising our teenage children in this beautiful corner of the universe, although we do take them back to my ocean roots each year.

Dentistry has been a means for me to help people not just with their teeth and oral health, but also with their feelings around dentistry.  Having had many dental procedures myself, I can relate well to what it’s like to be a patient.  These days, I am offering biological approaches to periodontal therapy using our technology; our phase contrast microscope, irrigation systems and solutions and customized nutritional support.  I’m happy to represent a practice that is so caring for people, has standards of excellence that it is always striving to meet and is at the forefront of using the safest, most biocompatible dental materials and techniques possible.  The imprint we leave on our patients, our children, our planet governs all that I do.

Jessica Reynolds, RDH

My name is Jessica Reynolds, RDH and I have been in the dental field for over 5 years now. I grew up in this area and still live in Dutchess County where I am raising my 8 year old daughter Hailey. My first passion was dental assisting which I did for about a year before becoming a dental hygiene assistant at Drs. Viglielmo's office. I loved being a hygiene assistant so much that I was inspired to become a dental hygienist. In May 2009 I fulfilled this dream and became a Registered Dental Hygienist with certification in local anesthesia and nitrous oxide.

I have worked at the Center for the Disabled in Albany, NY which is a facility that provides dental treatment to those that are mentally and physically impaired. This experience was touching and I loved every second of it! I have also participated with Headstart to provide dental screenings and care for children that are less fortunate than most. I have also worked with the Headstart teachers, staff, and nurses to educate them on how to screen the children and teach them and their parents optimal self care during school and at home. I have gone to many school classrooms where the children aged between 5-8 to educate them on proper dental health and nutrition.

I am looking forward to helping all of my patients achieve and sustain optimal oral heath through education and treatment.
